There really isn’t much better in the whole world, from our point of view, than getting to photograph a newborn session. And as a Denver newborn photographer, we get the opportunity quite often. Snuggly babies, sweet kisses, and of course those not-so-picture perfect moments that are bound to happen when you have a newborn—we love it all. We had the chance to do a newborn session recently of Collins. Here are some of our favorites!

Above are our pictures of just Collins, but we have some other favorites with mom, dad, and even the pup! One of our tips for parents of newborns is to not stress about the session. Especially with your first baby, you’re still figuring everything out! New mommas, you’ll probably feel your best if you get a shower and throw on some mascara. But don’t stress about full hair and makeup like you might during another shoot. Having a newborn photoshoot in the home captures these intimate moments in the days and weeks after having a baby. No need to glam it up for our sake!
Also, please don’t stress about your baby being fussy or about needing to nurse in the middle of the session. As a mom of four and a photographer for over a decade, I’ve seen it all and am not stressed out by anything that could happen during our time together.
